Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at optofitting@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No, you don’t. You can test the app using the default photos included within it. Once you're satisfied with the results, you can subscribe and use the provided 3D printing file to place an order at any local 3D print lab.

Once you subscribe, you’ll receive a 3D printing file that you can use to order a custom frame from any 3D print lab near you.

To enable the buttons, you must first provide two photos—one from the front view and one from the side view. You can either take these photos directly using the app or select them from the built-in photo library.

Once both images are provided, the buttons will become active.

For step-by-step guidance, please refer to the instruction video Link in the app.

For the best experience, turn on your camera flash and use the Corneal Reflex feature. This will help you clearly see the light reflection on the cornea, allowing you to accurately position the adjustment circle.

If your device doesn’t have a camera flash, you can use the Corneal Center option instead. This feature lets you manually align the circle based on the center of the cornea without relying on a visible light reflex.

If the frame arms are too wide and obstruct the cornea in the side view, simply use your best estimate to determine the cornea’s position.

This will still allow you to proceed with the adjustment process effectively.

To capture a clear and usable photo, make sure the patient’s head is positioned in a well-lit area without any backlighting. The recommended distance from the device is approximately 60 cm. The patient should be looking directly at the camera with their head in a neutral, primary position.

You can store up to 100 patient records in the app. Once this limit is reached, the oldest files will be automatically deleted to make room for new ones. In other words, the app always keeps the 100 most recent patient records available.
